About the artist
Saffron Holland is a multidisciplinary abstract artist and writer based in Hexham, UK. A self-taught mixed media artist, her work explores themes of identity, innocence, and memory—shaped by a life of questions and change.
As an adoptee and the child of missionaries, she grew up moving between cultures, from Togo in West Africa to various parts of the UK, navigating ever-shifting physical and emotional landscapes. Her art serves as an inner portrait, examining the layers of self shaped by experience, longing, and trauma. Through her work, she delves into the complexity of personal perceptive , morality, mortality, and the ongoing process of becoming.
